GTA 5

A legendary sequel to the popular Grand Theft Auto series. The game is set in Los Santos, a city that players first came to love in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. For the first time, the game tells the story of three characters at once: Michael, Trevor, and Franklin, between whom you can switch at any time.

The open-world action of GTA 5 is the culmination of Rockstar’s work to improve the franchise. Everything fans love about Grand Theft Auto is bigger and better, but most importantly, the gameplay offers so many ways to have fun that it surpasses real life. A new graphics engine brings the quality of the graphics and effects up to modern standards. The game features an engaging story, a separate PC version, and support for mods.

GTA 5 takes place in an updated and improved version of the state of San Andreas, first introduced in the game of the same name. It offers a full range of locations: parks, forests, farmland, desert outskirts, coastal areas, caves, lakes, and mountain hills. You can explore the territory from end to end; it is inhabited not only by people, but also by dangerous wild animals.

Los Santos, modeled on Los Angeles, is a huge metropolis in the same state, featuring every kind of urban landscape: skyscrapers, high-rise buildings, business and shopping centers, industrial buildings, middle-class homes, poor people’s dormitories, and dens.

You can travel across the vast game world on foot, in over a hundred cars and other wheeled vehicles, or in your own helicopter, plane, or yacht. You can also swim underwater and explore the ocean floor, which is just as detailed as the rest of the game world. Numerous Easter eggs and references encourage you to explore San Andreas.

1) Michael — a former bank robber forced back into crime because of family problems and debts. He struggles with alcoholism, ignores his past and present life, runs from his problems, and tries to get his head straight with the help of a psychotherapist;

2) Franklin — a small-time criminal and car thief at the beginning of the game. Later, he becomes an ambitious Black gangster who rises through the criminal underworld and lives a life of luxury. A pivotal character in the game’s ending;

3) Trevor: he trained to be a military pilot but was expelled because of his mental instability. He used to rob banks with Michael, but after a failed heist, he spent a long time in hiding. An anarchist, drug addict, and alcoholic who likes to party hard, he often ends up in strange places. He has many enemies to deal with throughout the game.

Each member of the trio has a well-developed backstory, motivation, and goals in life. Although their alliance is forced, they team up to pull off daring heists without sharing the spoils with other gangs or the police. You can switch between them at any time, which can be amusing at times, since the characters go about their own lives.

The story is told in the Rockstar style: the characters visit seedy places, strip clubs, and gang hideouts, talk rudely and swear, and carefully plan their moves. There will be plenty of heists, murders, and shootouts. The story doesn’t follow the usual AAA action game formula, thanks to unexpected twists, victories and defeats, chance encounters, and rivalries with other criminals. The government and private military companies keep getting involved in the narrative, confusing the protagonists and making their lives much more difficult.

The characters’ relationships and personal problems are a central theme. As the story develops over time, it builds to a climax, where the player decides which of the three will live and which will die. The ability to switch between characters makes the experience even more immersive. All in all, it’s hard to imagine a player finishing GTA 5 and being dissatisfied with its story.

Alongside its core gameplay, GTA 5 offers plenty of ways to have fun in single-player. You can race sports cars around the city or monster trucks off-road, go on photo safaris, work as a taxi driver, eat mushrooms, dress in the latest fashions, pick up high-end or budget prostitutes, cause trouble, wreck vehicles, play the stock market, buy up everything in sight, clean up after your dog, and much more.

The best way to enjoy single-player is simply to explore the world and stroll around the neighborhoods. Anything can happen in these moments, thanks to random events, unexpected decisions by NPCs, and the amusing physics of cars, gunfire, and explosions. Thousands of small objects in the game have their own physics, adding to the realism. All in all, everything is designed to quickly immerse the player in the action.

GTA Online is GTA 5’s multiplayer mode, featuring almost all the missions from the single-player game, as well as numerous mind-blowing competitions for 12–28 players. The Smuggler’s Run update introduced a battle royale mode of its own to GTA Online. Multiplayer uses the same game world, graphics, and physics as GTA 5.

A player can create a male or female character who arrives in Los Santos with no fame or money. There are already plenty of items available at the start to help you set your character’s style, but more content unlocks later, allowing you to make them truly unique.

Technically, GTA Online takes place six months before the events of GTA 5, but there are a few inconsistencies. It’s recommended that you complete the campaign so you’ll know the supporting characters who give missions or trade with the player in multiplayer. Nice little touches like tennis, golf, trips to the casino, and picking up women have all been retained.

Over time, you’ll be able to meet up with other players at your place or visit them to have fun and discuss your criminal plans. Once you reach a certain level, you can start your own gang. You’ll become the boss and be able to hire other players to protect you or carry out other tasks. An organization is a game within a game, with its own missions and operations.

As in any online game, the goal in GTA Online is to level up: buy apartments and houses, cars and yachts, weapons and gear, and unlock all sorts of things like clothes, tattoos, and hairstyles. To do this, you’ll need to earn reputation points and money. You can earn reputation by making kills, winning competitive matches against other players, completing missions, escaping from the police, and more. Money is much harder to come by, since earning it is considerably more difficult.

You can make a little money by fighting the odds: stealing and selling cars, robbing stores, and doing other petty jobs. You can also get robbed, so be careful. The real money comes from winning multiplayer competitions like deathmatches and races, taking part in operations, carrying out jobs for bosses, or taking a cut from players under your control. Missions take place on land, in the air, and on the water, and weapons are often used. Each online mode has its own features, so read the description carefully.

Let’s go over the main modes available as of early 2018:

· “Deathmatch”: a solo or team match where the winner is determined by points; traditional races and rallies (you drive while your co-driver tells you where to go);· “Capture” and “Capture and Hold”: bring one or more valuable items to your base;· “Hold”: find or steal valuable items. Whoever has the most at the end of the match wins;· During a “Raid,” sneak or fight your way into the enemy base, capture a valuable item, and bring it back to your base. Then the teams switch sides;· In a “Heist,” plan and carry out a theft of valuable cargo with other players—or escape from prison.· In “Territory Takeover,” you’ll have to drive your opponents back to their bases and wipe them out, but they’ll put up serious resistance.· “Motor Wars” is an allusion to PuBG, where up to four teams or 28 players are dropped onto a map. They must find a car and upgrade it with weapons and armor before taking on their rivals.

As players level up, earn more reputation points, and have enough money, they unlock more interesting, challenging, and large-scale missions.
