According to a new scoop from journalist Daniel Richtman, the film adaptation of the cult game Bloodborne is still in the works and currently searching for a director. The project has been in discussion since 2023, and fans are actively campaigning for Guillermo del Toro — the master of gothic horror and fantasy (Pan’s Labyrinth, The Shape of Water, Hellboy). His signature visual style is seen as a perfect fit for the Victorian Yharnam setting and the game’s themes of bloodborne plague.
