Set in the near future, this economic city-building strategy depicts a world reshaped by climate change and rising sea levels. Players settle islands, build cities, and develop an economy by managing resources, production, and trade. Production chains include robot factories, oil refineries, and diamond mines.
In Anno 2070, players can side with the Tycoons, who favor industrialization and efficiency, or the Ecos, who pursue a more environmentally sustainable path. Decisions affect the climate, the appearance of cities, and the needs of the population. The economy can expand through futuristic transport systems, diplomacy, and trade, including covert shipments between harbors that avoid coastal patrols.
Anno 2070, choć nie twierdzi, że jest rewolucyjna, poczyniła znaczący krok naprzód.
