Battlepillars is a real-time tug-of-war strategy game about squads of weaponized caterpillars pushing toward an enemy base. The player builds a caterpillar from segments that provide weapons, armor, and support abilities; the available arsenal includes flamethrowers, mines, machine guns, and rockets. Different combinations shape the approach to battle, from heavily armored machines to fast attackers.
The single-player campaign spans more than 50 levels and features five bosses. A Test Zone lets players try out segment combinations, while online skirmishes pit them against other players. In Endless Mode, the goal is to last as long as possible against an army of red caterpillars. Woodland allies, including the Wizard Turtle and Larry the Bird, can also assist in battle.
