A third-person action shooter in which the player races through scenic locations and fights bug-like creatures called the Flanx. Combat offers six attacks, including energy barrages and abilities that deform the terrain. Enemies have varied behaviors and attacks, so taking on their hordes calls for strategy.
Players can bring trees back to life and collect energy to buy upgrades. Improving skills lets a character run on water and jump hundreds of feet into the air. The game features two playable characters and three difficulty levels: Casual, Normal, and Extreme.
