This 2D puzzle adventure follows a courier on his first errand in ominous crypts. Once a sacred place of mourning, the crypts have become a site of dark rituals. The courier’s main tool is a magic torch, used to light the way, keep the darkness at bay, and reveal solutions to puzzles. Its flame is a limited resource and must not run out.
Fire affects the environment in different ways, so the torch must be switched on and off as circumstances change. Some enemies leave the courier alone, while others try to extinguish the flame; they can be lured into traps or avoided by sneaking past. The crypts also contain secrets, hidden maps, and puzzles. Exploration and progression include a shop offering perks and a perfection system.
