A real-time tactical strategy game set during World War II, Faces of War puts the player in command of troops on the front lines. Its 1944–1945 campaigns follow Allied, German, and Soviet forces across European battlefields.
Players can issue orders to entire squads or take direct control of an individual soldier, plan ambushes and flanking maneuvers, and use vehicles and cover in combat. The environment is destructible: explosions reshape terrain, while debris and craters can be used on the battlefield. The game also includes multiplayer modes and a mission editor.
