Freaky Awesome is an action rogue-lite about a hero who ventures into an old factory to rescue a missing dog. Its rooms are procedurally generated and filled with mutants, toxic waste and traps.
Defeated enemies leave mutagen that restores health but can also transform the hero during a fight. Each mutation grants different abilities and mechanics that call for adaptation, while defeating bosses unlocks additional forms. Items and environmental traps can be used in combat, and character progression unlocks skills and items. Successful runs bring new locations and enemies, larger levels and stronger bosses. The game can be played solo or in co-op with up to four players; death is permanent, but unlocked upgrades are retained.
