Arkaada

Arcade to gatunek gier wideo, w którym stosuje się prostą mechanikę rozgrywki. Często mało uwagi poświęca się fabule i opracowaniu postaci. Arcade są zaprojektowane na łatwe spędzanie czasu bez zagłębiania się w istotę wydarzeń. Najważniejszy jest proces gry i jego prostota. Do arcade można zaliczyć gry różnych gatunków. Na przykład w wyścigach arcade nie ma realistycznej fizyki, często używa się broni, a jeszcze częściej na trasach można zbierać bonusy, a sterowanie sprowadza się do trzech przycisków: w lewo, w prawo i przyspieszenie. Podobnie uproszczony jest proces gry w innych gatunkach arcade.
