Futuryzm (Przyszłość)
Fantastyka i futuryzm to bardzo podobne światy gier. Oba przenoszą gracza w przyszłość ludzkości lub do zupełnie innego wymyślonego świata, którego mieszkańcy znacznie przewyższają współczesną ludzkość pod względem rozwoju. Fantastyka pozwala na odsunięcie na bok niektórych praw i konwencji rzeczywistego świata, co umożliwia autorom tworzenie nowych ras, technologii i magii. Futuryzm natomiast skupia się wyłącznie na osiągnięciach technologicznych, całkowicie odrzucając przy tym człowieczeństwo i przynależne ludziom cechy społeczne.
