Widok z góry
Jeden z typów kamery w grach wideo to widok z góry. Jest bardzo podobny do widoku izometrycznego, ale nieco się różni. W widoku z góry deweloperzy nie starają się uczynić świata przestrzennego i głębokiego. Wszystko jest przedstawiane albo w przestrzeni dwuwymiarowej, albo tworzy się pseudo „objętość” z kilku rzędów przestrzeni dwuwymiarowych. Na przykład postać może wejść za „płaski” dom. Czasami kamera znajduje się całkowicie pionowo, a gracz patrzy na płaski świat z góry, jak w pierwszej grze z serii GTA. Skalowanie w takich grach stosowane jest bardzo rzadko. Taki sposób może być używany w grach przygodowych, grach fabularnych, tnij i rąb, pokonaj wszystkich, strategiach i wielu innych.
