This anime fighting game centers on duels between characters with distinct movesets. In Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus R, players can string attacks into Gatling combos, launch opponents with the Dust overhead, and cancel a character’s current action with Roman Cancel to extend a sequence. The Plus R version further adjusts the cast for balance and tactical variety, with 25 playable characters in total.

Alongside standard fights, the game features Survival, M.O.M., Training, and Mission modes. Online play includes Ranked Matches, where wins affect a player’s rank, and Player Matches, which do not record results. The Gallery mode contains more than 100 illustrations by various artists.
