Holomento is a permadeath action RPG set in the cursed Eventide Hollow. The mysterious book called the Holomento traps the souls of travelers; when one dies, their soul is added to the book, which returns to its resting place and awaits the next traveler. The Hollow’s story unfolds across successive journeys as travelers try to help its inhabitants.
Travelers fight enemies with melee and ranged weapons, choose a starting class, and improve their stats with items and item skills. Exploration can reveal shortcuts, secrets, and ancient relics, while restoring settlements and upgrading homes and shops helps prepare the Hollow for future journeys. Local markets also let travelers invest in businesses.
