Joint Task Force

Joint Task Force is a real-time strategy game about commanding frontline troops in conflicts across the Middle East, Central Asia, and the Balkans. Its campaign spans five parts and twenty missions, with a separate tutorial introducing the basics of battlefield command. Infantry, tanks, artillery, reconnaissance units, and helicopters are most effective when used together, making combined-arms tactics central to each battle.

Heroes retain their progress and can be assigned to later missions. The player can also direct satellite reconnaissance and interact with the media and civilians, while news reports provide background information and cover battles as they unfold. Changing weather affects combat, and terrain objects can be destroyed. Multiplayer includes Domination, Deathmatch, and cooperative modes, and the campaign can also be played in multiplayer.
