Machinarium 2

The sequel to the cult classic adventure game Machinarium , released in 2009. The sequel’s story begins after the end of the first game. After escaping the metropolis, the robots Josef and Berta crash in a wild wasteland. Climbing down a cliff, they discover a lush, hidden valley inhabited by two unusual robot tribes. One tribe lives in the towering cliffside monastery of Elektron, while the other lives in the lower city of Oulton. Both settlements are on the brink of extinction due to a critical energy shortage.

The main new gameplay feature is the ability to control both characters. Players can switch freely between Josef and Berta as they play. To solve complex spatial puzzles, they’ll need to combine the characters’ unique physical abilities. The creators will keep the series’ signature wordless storytelling: communication will still take the form of animated thoughts in bubbles and gestures.
