This medieval strategy game combines turn-based empire management with large-scale real-time battles. The struggle for territory and power spans Europe, Africa, and the Middle East, with campaigns reaching the shores of the New World. In MEDIEVAL II: Total War, the player develops cities, constructs buildings, recruits and trains armies, and uses diplomacy to deal with allies and rivals.
Armies of up to 10,000 troops clash on 3D battlefields. The campaign allows forces to sail to the Americas and face the Aztecs, while other conflicts include the Crusades and the wars between Christianity and Islam. Kingdoms features four separate campaigns set on expanded maps of the British Isles, Northern Europe, the Middle East, and the Americas; multiplayer battles support up to eight players.
