This baseball simulation combines team management with Major League Baseball games. In Franchise and Season modes, players make decisions during critical situations, including setting the lineup, while the 40-Man Roster feature gives control over all 40 players on a team for each game.
MLB 06: The Show includes online head-to-head matches in King of the Diamond and Rivalry Mode, tournaments with 32 teams, messaging and downloadable rosters. Career Mode features Career Spotlight, which highlights a player's accomplishments. Gameplay also includes Release Point Pitching, the Pitching Confidence Meter and Guess Pitch.
