Set on the fictional planet Irata, this strategy game combines economic simulation with competition over a colony’s prosperity and survival. Up to four players can take part, with computer opponents filling any vacant spots. Each player chooses a colonist race with its own advantages and disadvantages, which can shape their strategy.
Players use M.U.L.E.s—Multiple Use Labor Elements—to develop their land and harvest energy, food, and ore; Crystite is also available at the Tournament level. They buy the resources they need and sell surplus goods, managing supply and demand: withholding a resource can create a shortage and raise its price in later turns. Turn-based economic planning is combined with real-time contests, and victory requires building wealth while keeping the colony alive.
