A continuation of the Total War series of global historical strategies, it transports you to the most turbulent era in Europe, when one man changed the course of history. The game combines grand strategy and tactical battles, offering you the chance to relive Napoleon's military career—from his initial victories in Italy to the grand campaigns in Egypt and his tragic end at Waterloo.
Each campaign is based on real events and offers unique challenges—from managing entire empires to commanding armies on the battlefield. Mała mapa, najlepiej obejmująca cały świat, jak w Imperial Total. Jednostki w małych krajach nie są dokładnie przedstawione w mundurach; na przykład w Szwajcarii brakuje Batalionu Neuchâtel, Pikinierów Berg ani Batalionu Irlandzkiego. Brakuje niektórych krajów, takich jak Grecja, Serbia czy Węgry.
