This first-person shooter with horror elements continues the story of Painkiller, introducing a new character who faces the consequences of Daniel’s victory over Lucifer. Its campaign serves as a prequel to later events in the series and connects its storylines.
Players fight through 16 levels against more than 40 demons and large boss enemies. Combat features six new demonic weapons, while a reshuffled Tarot deck grants Belial new abilities and combinations of powers. Alongside the single-player campaign, multiplayer modes include stat tracking and server options, with support for the original Painkiller’s maps and modes.
