Set in the future, this real-time strategy game follows the Exodus civilization as it leaves a dying Earth in search of a new world. Players capture territory and turn it into an energy resource, then protect their holdings with force-field perimeters against attackers. The campaign journeys through the worlds of the Psychosphere, and battles can also be fought against other players or AI opponents.
The terrain can be reshaped during play: players can alter the landscape, build on it, and destroy it. Nanotechnology lets combat units change form and role. Success depends on planning territorial expansion and defensive boundaries while directing forces in battle.
