This first-person horror game follows a man returning to an abandoned mansion on Pineview Drive to investigate the disappearance of his wife, Linda. She vanished without a trace during their visit twenty years earlier, and he hopes to uncover the house’s secrets and come to terms with the past. According to local legends, no one has endured more than thirty days in the mansion since Linda disappeared.
The mansion can be explored over 30 in-game days, with each day revealing more of its secrets. The game monitors the protagonist’s actions and reactions: fear costs health, so staying calm is important for survival. Additional modes let players explore the mansion in daylight or search for eight letters scattered around the house and garden while watching out for a scarecrow.
