Sonic Blast — The gameplay of Sonic Blast is similar to previous games in the series. The player must go through 5 zones (Green Hill, Yellow Desert, Red Volcano, Blue Marine and Silver Castle). Each zone is divided into three acts, with the third requiring the player to defeat a boss. The player must collect rings scattered throughout the level, which are life points. As in the game Sonic Triple Trouble, when an enemy attacks, the character will only lose part of the rings, and not all at once, as in most other games in the series.
