A multiplayer space RPG with action and sandbox elements, Star Sonata 2 lets players explore the universe and build empires. Players pilot ships in top-down 3D combat, dodging attacks and fighting alongside other participants. They can establish and manage bases and colonies, set up trade routes, and complete missions.
Progression includes classes, skills, and extensive ship customization, with options to change components such as engines, weapons, energy systems, and shields. Every three to four months, the universe resets, reshuffling galaxies in areas where players can build. Players can join large-scale team battles and compete for the title of Emperor.
