This arcade space-combat game, based on the original Star Trek television series and films, puts the player in command of the Starship Enterprise as it defends sectors from invading Klingon ships. The battlefield can be viewed in several ways, including a two-dimensional display and a three-dimensional first-person perspective.
Survival depends on managing shield energy, warp energy and photon torpedoes. These supplies are replenished by docking at starbases, which may also need protection from Klingon attacks. Combat additionally involves impulse engines and phasers, and the game features synthesized speech.
