Set in Piova, a city of music and unending rain, this musical visual novel follows Chris Vertin, a student training to become a master of the magical instrument called the Fortelle. As graduation approaches, he must perform an original song with a vocal partner, but Chris has yet to look for one. His days revolve around letters from his girlfriend and Phorni, a musical fairy who lives in his room.
The story combines visual-novel choices with rhythm-based musical sections in which Chris plays the Fortelle to the beat of the rain. Both decisions and performance in these sections affect the story and its multiple endings. The narrative follows the characters’ relationships and their pursuit of a life in music.
