Time Crisis 2nd Strike is an arcade rail shooter in which international agent Giorgio Bruno attempts to stop a series of terrorist attacks. Episode Mode has players clear 10 stages before the countdown ends, with cinematic scenes between firefights. Tapping the screen fires a handgun, while dragging a finger lets players shoot with a machine gun.
The arsenal also includes a shotgun and grenade launcher, and special enemies can replenish ammunition. Competition modes challenge players to clear completed stages as quickly as possible or earn the highest score. Rapid fire activates RAGE and score multipliers, while each stage has unlockable achievements.
