Two Brothers

An action-adventure game with role-playing elements and a classic Game Boy aesthetic, Two Brothers follows scientist and philosopher Roy Guarder on an expedition to the Cursed Lands in search of the origins of life. After finding what he sought, Roy becomes caught between the world of the living and an afterlife he never believed existed.

The player explores a nonlinear world, takes on side quests, and interacts with both living and deceased characters. Death in combat or a deadly trap sends Roy to a colorful afterlife hub, where he can search for clues and meet characters who have died; he can then return to exploration, sometimes by deliberately dying. As the game progresses, its visuals shift from black-and-white 8-bit graphics to full-color 16-bit graphics, and the story has multiple endings.
