Waves is an arcade twin-stick shooter set in a Neo-Cyberspace arena overrun by bugs, errors, and viruses. The player clears the arena of hostile processes, chaining quick kills into combos and building a high score. Timed bombs help deal with enemies, while the Time Buffer slows the action when the pressure mounts.
Several modes offer different conditions: Rush lets players extend their time by defeating Cubes, Survival limits the player to three lives, and Bombing Run focuses on explosions without guns. Challenge features 20 short levels, while online leaderboards let players compete for high scores. Actions earn experience, and the game also includes achievements.
