Firaxis ponownie rozważa — Cywilizacja 7 może przywrócić klasyczną rozgrywkę „Jedna frakcja przez historię”

One of the most controversial changes in Sid Meier’s Civilization 7 was the removal of the traditional campaign structure — where players could guide a single civilization from the Stone Age to the Space Age. Instead, the game forced a rotation of leaders and nations. But according to Firaxis’ latest update, the studio may now be walking back that decision.
Developers revealed that they’re internally testing a mode allowing players to stick with the same faction throughout the entire timeline. Lead designer Ed Beach called it “one of the most requested features” and confirmed it’s currently in active testing. If the idea proves successful, Civilization 7 could offer two parallel campaign modes — one with dynamic civilization switching and another preserving a single nation from start to finish.
The community welcomed the news enthusiastically: on Reddit, players noted that forced faction swapping was their biggest frustration with the sequel.
Alongside this, Firaxis announced a free content pack titled Tides of Power, releasing in two waves. The first arrives November 4, adding Blackbeard, Tonga, and the Pirate Republic, while the second — coming in December — will introduce Iceland, the Ottoman Empire, and Sayyida al Hurra.
Despite its low Steam rating, Civilization 7 seems to be finding its footing as Firaxis listens to fans and revisits its most divisive design choices.
