Materia Prima is an important side quest in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 that is closely tied to the completion of the storyline quest Wedding Crashers if you chose the miller's path. In this guide, we will thoroughly examine all the tasks and offer useful tips for successful completion.
Once freed from the stocks in Troskovice, head southwest to the large lake. There is a mill here, and you should find its owner. After talking to him, agree to any job. This time, you'll have to carry sacks again, but not to the barn, to a cart.
Henry will tear one of the sacks, which will be noticed by the miller. Ask Kreisel what he is really transporting in these sacks. The man will then offer a more interesting job, but you'll need to prepare first.
As we noted in the main quest walkthrough guide, the miller's path involves learning stealth, theft, and lockpicking. Right after the candid conversation, you can go to the pantry and practice lockpicking. If you have already mastered this skill, just skip this step. We also have a detailed guide on lockpicking chests and doors, as well as guides on who can buy stolen items and how to earn quickly in this game.
Besides lockpicking, sometimes you'll need to pick pockets and knock people out in the world. Of course, if you're trying to play as a good guy, this might not be necessary. But since you've chosen the miller's path, we advise not to neglect the training and complete it as soon as possible.
Never broken the law in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2? Congratulations, it's time to start! Head to the marker on the map to a small settlement with two houses south of Jelejev. Go up to the second floor using the stairs and try to pick a simple lock on the chest. Inside, you'll find light clothing — exactly what you need to wear if you want to sneak somewhere quietly.
Equip the obtained clothing, return to Troskovice, and talk to the guy in the stocks. He will tell you where the guards might have taken the parchment. When he asks for a password, choose any answer, as it will not affect anything. To increase your reputation, you can add at the end that it's not your first time.
You can obtain the parchment in various ways: from lockpicking the basement door to stealing a key from any guard's pocket. If you choose the second option, it's best to rob the guard at the entrance before the town hall. Just be more careful, as other soldiers patrol this area and may notice you.
We managed to get the document quite easily. Wait until six in the morning and go through the courtyard to the town hall. A guard always stands by the basement stairs, but he won't see you if you jump down. All that's left is to move a little forward, pick the lock (highest difficulty level), or use the key obtained from the guard's pocket.
Of course, your adventure will not end there. When you deliver the document to the new employer, the quest will be completed, but you will not be invited to the wedding yet. This will start the quest "Forbidden Fruit".
