Avowed Earns 80% Positive Reviews on Steam — But It's Already Been Cracked

Avowed, the fantasy RPG from Obsidian Entertainment, is now available for premium edition owners. However, the game launched without any anti-piracy protection, making it instantly available for free downloads.

Set in the Pillars of Eternity universe, Avowed puts players in the role of an Aedyran emissary sent to the Living Lands, a region plagued by a mysterious disease.

The Steam version has already received 382 reviews, holding an 80% positive rating. While most players praise the game, some note that it doesn’t look as impressive compared to the recently announced Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2.

The official release of Avowed is set for February 18 on PC and Xbox Series X/S. The game will also be available on Game Pass.
