Modderzy tracą zainteresowanie Starfield — wsparcie fanów może całkowicie zniknąć

It seems that disappointment with Starfield isn’t limited to players — the modding community is also turning away from Bethesda’s sci-fi RPG. Once kept afloat by fan enthusiasm, the game is now struggling to maintain even unofficial support.
While classics like Skyrim and Fallout 4 continue to thrive thanks to extensive modding, Starfield has failed to gain similar traction among mod creators. The team behind the Starfield Community Patch recently revealed on Discord that their unofficial fix project has been effectively stalled since late 2024 due to a lack of time and motivation among contributors.
According to modder Pickysaurus, many volunteers have grown tired of Starfield, citing a "lack of replayability, the paid modding situation, moving on to playing new games" as key reasons for the decline. Unless new contributors step in, the Starfield Community Patch may be permanently shut down. That would leave the responsibility of fan patching to the Unofficial Starfield Patch by Arthmoor — a project that itself hasn’t seen updates in quite some time.
Starfield launched in September 2023 on PC and Xbox Series X/S, but failed to achieve long-term success. The game currently holds a 58% rating on Steam. Its 2024 expansion, Shattered Space, fared even worse, dropping to a 30% approval rating amid widespread criticism.
Recently, a veteran Bethesda developer explained why the studio’s games may never be free of loading screens — a problem that became particularly noticeable in Starfield.
